Where is my camera cable?
Oh, it's at the flat.
Otherwise I could show you:
1. the most hillarious Jordy facials ever
2. a sequence of Brad eating a McDonald's cheeseburger (with mayo? I think so) in one go
3. an ingenious new use for shoes: giving messages to short people
4. us taking beers from the Shore Sounds cooler, before heading off to Whammy. Two each, then two more.
Last night we played two shows... which is a feat I had managed before, but not with so much "early beer" factor. First was the Shore Sounds gig at Windsor Reserve in Devonport. This was actually really great. Good rider. Good sound guys. Anything you want to do, the large affable sound guy would say "sweet as brother". Jordy was his brother, I was his brother. We played, I thought, really well. Underage kids got their shake and pogo on to BNM classics.
Then 'The Earlybirds' played. I don't know if they know, but the whole world knows the twelve bar blues. They still find it novel. They also still find 'yeah' novel. The lead guitarist was wearing a Bruce Springsteen/Steve Van Zant bandana. For that = much respect, but for the cold greeting, no.
That said, Jacob from The Checks was LOVELY. And Death in Goyza were there. BAND FRIENDS. Their drummer told them, an hour before the gig, that he 'couldn't make it'... they called up their old drummer. He loves the reggae beats.
Then on to Whammy. What happened? We were tired. What did we do? Jordy and I went home. Some people speculated we were off to sleep together. Jordy told them "he's already kissed me and now, I'm not interested".
